Promoting A Safe Church

 We have adopted A Safe Church as our safeguarding policy. It is available in full here from the Diocese of Southwark.

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates.

If  you are concerned that someone you know is a risk, or is being abused, presents a risk to themselves or others, please contact our safeguarding leads (see below for details). If someone is in immediate danger please call 999 without delay.

 

Our Commitment 

  • Safely recruiting and supporting all those children and with any responsibility related to children and vulnerable adults.

  • Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.

  • Caring Pastorally for victims/ survivors of abuse or affected persons.

  • Responding to those that may pose a present risk.

​Southwark Diocese Safeguarding Team

The safeguarding team are moving to a new process for managing incoming enquiries, supported by a duty system. This will enable more efficient prioritisation and processing of incoming referrals, concerns and enquiries.
