Eden Nature Garden

Eden Nature Garden was established in 2000 as a community garden, turning an area of disused church land into a green, tranquil, inner city space; a pleasant place for all to sit, play or garden. It is located in a section of St. Paul's churchyard on the opposite side of Matrimony Place.

Eden's aim is to create and maintain a sustainable habitat for wildlife and promote bio-diversity by planting British native species and through organic gardening.

St Paul's Churchyard and Eden together are holders of the prestigious 'Green Flag Award', the national standard for quality parks and green spaces. Eden also holds a 'Green Pennant Award', a national scheme recognising the role of community gardens in managing local green spaces.

Eden is independently funded by various charitable trusts and by individual donations. It welcomes volunteers to take an active part in any aspects of the running of the garden. In addition, you may contribute more lasting support by becoming a Friend of Eden
